Information For Research Mentors

The Undergraduate Research Symposium provides a forum for students to present their research that has been guided by faculty and research mentors in poster or oral presentation formats. This event will showcase the work of our motivated undergraduate students, working on many exciting research projects across disciplines. Students not yet engaged in research are encouraged to attend to learn more about getting involved. We hope you and your students will participate in this year’s event.

All student abstracts will be published in the Symposium Online Proceedings. Research mentors will be listed along with their students’ abstracts in the Proceedings and will be acknowledged at the presentation sessions. The presentation sessions are intended to stimulate discussion among presenters, faculty and research mentors, and the general audience. A moderator will lead the discussion in the session. If you wish to serve as a session moderator, please email Additionally, if you wish to serve as a judge for the Symposium, visit the Judges Registration page for more information.

Research mentors are strongly encouraged to attend the sessions and to assist their students with presentation practice or poster design, particularly students who have not yet presented their work for a general audience.
