Abstract:

Song birds are exceptional in their ability to differentiate between various vocalizations, distinguish between songs from specific species, and recognize individual song production. The CM section in the auditory region is essential to these abilities. It allows the bird to recognize song even in noisy conditions. Although the function of CM is known, the cell types and their respective functions are not. By learning about the morphology of the CM region, the function of the potential cell types can also be focused on. Because the auditory region in birds behaves similarly to humans, understanding CM may help us understand the human auditory system as well. Based on produced data, there are two potential cell types in CM.
